How do I join a group?

To join any of the groups listed, you can simply show up at the time and place listed. We will gladly help you find specific rooms and classes once you get to the building. Sunday Morning Classes

  • Dorcas Class

    Teacher: Gayle Childers

    Time: 9:30 AM

    Where: Choir Room

    Description: Dorcas means “full of good works and acts of charity.” This ladies group uses Smyth & Helwys’ Formations curriculum. They visit the sick and the homebound and help with mission work as need throughout the year. They support the Baptist Children’s Home (Hopetree) and Personal Ministry.

  • MMB

    Teacher: Lindsey Clem

    Time: 9:30 AM

    Where: Prayer Room

    Description: This men’s class uses Lifeway’s Bible Stories for Life material. The MMB class rejoices in Christian fellowship and seeks to do God’s will individually as led by the Holy Spirit.

  • Seekers Class

    Teacher: Julia Killian

    Time: 9:30 AM

    Where: Room 204

    Description: The Seekers class is a diverse group of both women and men devoted to Bible study and serving God.

  • Loving Well

    Teacher: Jeanie Mathews

    Time: 9:30 AM

    Where: Parlor

    Description: The discussion based class of all backgrounds (single, married, or single again) an encouraging setting in which to study God’s Word and apply His scriptures to their lives. This group laughs, and sometimes cries, as they share using a combination of book reviews, video studies, and themed lessons.

  • Joy

    Teachers: Mike Council & Rod Mason

    Time: 9:30 AM

    Where: Room 206

    Description: This class is full of members who have served as teachers at MHBC throughout the years. The group uses Smyth & Helwys Formations material.

  • Fellowship Class

    Teacher: Jon Holste

    Time: 9:30 AM

    Where: Fellowship Hall

    Description: This class has singles and couples of all ages. The class studies the Bible book-by-book, verse-by-verse.

Groups During the Week

  • Genesis Class

    Teacher: Ray & Betty Kay Yamaoka

    Day: 2nd & 4th Friday

    Time: 1:00 PM

    Where: Conference Room

    Description: The Genesis class is a group of married and single adults. The class is discussion based and uses the Lifeway Explore the Bible series for their material.

  • Fisherman Class (Men's Bible Study)

    Teacher: Ron Harris

    Day: Mondays

    Time: 6:30 PM

    Where: Conference Room

    Description: The Bible study group is discussion for both single and married men. Many members enjoy outdoor activities such as softball, golf, fishing, camping, and hunting.
